About Me

Hi. I'm Alisha, and I am super excited that you're here!
I moved from my small hometown to the city in 2006. I had big dreams and tiny funds. That, my friends, creates determination. I had no idea how much I would need that on my journey. During my time at The Art Institute of Atlanta, I second shot for an amazing, Atlanta wedding photographer. Those years taught me so much!
I graduated, and went on to work for a local Commercial Photographer. Those years were filled with traveling to places I would have never gotten to visit otherwise, and opened my eyes to the photographer-and person-I wanted to become.
So, Alisha McKellar Portrait Design was born, October 31, 2010. It took a huge leap of faith, but I was told by a sweet, sweet lady that in life, that's what it takes.

Other than being a photographer...
I'm extremely crafty. Yes. It is addictive.
I love to sew, mod podge pretty much anything, paint old furniture to give it a new life, sing, go to concerts, soak in the beach (even though I'm so pale you would never know), cook, talk, meet friends for coffee dates, and I love to write!
I have a wonderful husband who somehow gets me, and supports my crazy dreams. I love him. :)
