Bands
Since I can remember, I've always had an enormous passion for music. I was just so intrigued by it. My first memory of singing was when I was three...lying on the floor in front of the tall speakers my parents had. I can't remember the song, but it must have been great!
However, I grew up in a town so small that no one even realized girls could be in bands, too. So, choir was as far as I got to being in a band. That was ok because my passion never went away...it simply grew into wanting to help others who had the opportunity I never did.
I now help artists show the world an extension of their lyrics through my photographs.
One of my favorite songs is Taylor Swift's "White Horse". I'm not sure there have ever been any words more true to my life. When I hear a song, and I have to stop whatever I'm doing just to listen...that's what makes a great song to me. And if a song can bring me to tears (good or bad)...it goes in my Hall of Fame.
I am also happy to say, I have found a group of people who do realize girls can sing, too..."The Big Goodbye". I have been recording back up vocals with them, and it really has felt like a dream come true. You can check them out on MySpace at www.Myspace.com/biggoodbye.
This band is a long awaited project of Matt Glisson's. He is a phenomenal musician/writer/guitarist/producer/human.
